The folklore prize of the President of Estonia

On Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 11:00 Arnold Rüütel, President of the Republic of Estonia, presents the President's prize to the best folklore collectors in 2003. The nominants for the folklore prize by the work contributed to the Estonian Folklore Archives in 2003 are Anu Soon from the Virumaa County and Kail Sarv from Tallinn.
The folklore prize of the President of Estonia is a monetary award, the amount of which is determined by the President. The prize, awarded for the 11th year since the day of independece, is intended for acknowledging the work of the contributors to the Estonian Folklore Archives. The predecessor to the folklore prize of the President of Estonia was the Head of State reward, handed out to the best folklore collectors during 1935-1940.
Other enthusiastic folklore collectors will also be acknowledged at the festive event in the hall of the Literary Museum.
