Conference Generation P in the Tundra
In October 8-10 the Siberian Conference Generation P in the Tundra is held in the Estonian Literature Museum. The aim of the conference is to inspire discourse on topics that have so far been marginal in Siberian studies: urbanisation and the young generation of indigenous people in globalising world. Presentations deal with different fields of study - anthropology, sociology, folklore studies; conference participants include young scholars from Siberian indigenous tribes, from Estonia, UK, Germany, Russia and Austria, the honorary quest is Prof. Piers Vitebsky, PhD, director of the Scott Polar Research Institute, University of Cambridge. Conference languages are English and Russian. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate in the discussion.
