VTK seminar, March 9: Gender Research in Siberian Studies
On March 9, 2004, Aimar Ventsel held a lecture on the aspects of gender studies in Siberian studies in the Estonian Literary Museum. The lecture focused on the treatment of gender issues in the works on Siberia by Soviet ethnographers on the one hand and on the works of Anglo-American anthropologists on the other hand. In the articles by the latter, gender issues are analysed within the broader context of the Arctic studies.
