Board of the Academic Folklore Society Elected
At the extraordinary meeting on September 8, 2005 in Estonian Literary Museum, the new board of the Academic Folklore Society was elected. From September 2005 onwards, the activities of the society of folklorists, which was established on November 28, 1925 at the University of Tartu and closed down in 1940 by the Soviet authorities, will be led by Risto Järv (e-mail: risto@folklore.ee), Rein Saukas (e-mail: rein@folklore.ee) and Taive Särg (e-mail: taive@folklore.ee). The new board invites presentations to the society’s lecture meetings, which are traditionally held monthly at 16:15 on the last Thursday of the month in the main hall of the Estonian Literary Museum.
